About Us

The Juba and Shebelle Agriculture and Livestock Professional Association (JUSALPA) is an indigenous local non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Somalia. Established in 2015 by a group of community leaders, JUSALPA was founded with the aim of improving the living standards and decision-making capabilities of the pastoral and farming communities in both federal and regional states across Somalia.

Registered under the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation in 2015, JUSALPA has since focused on addressing the needs of the most vulnerable segments of society, particularly women and children. The organization operates in various sectors including education, agriculture and livestock management, water and sanitation, advocacy, and women empowerment through civic education. In addition, JUSALPA is actively involved in emergency interventions and the promotion of income-generating activities (IGAs) for women and youth.

JUSALPA’s approach is deeply rooted in community engagement. The organization works closely with local communities to identify core challenges and develop interventions that meet the specific needs of these populations. By involving communities at every stage of the project cycle, JUSALPA ensures that its programs are not only relevant but also sustainable in the long term.

Our vision is a guiding principle that shapes our approach to community development. We see a future where communities overcome the challenges of poverty through collective strength and self-reliance. This vision informs all our efforts, driving us to create environments where people can thrive independently and with dignity.

Our mission reflects our dedication to making this vision a reality. It’s about more than just providing support; it’s about fostering the capacity within communities to sustain their progress and build a better future.
