JUSALPA has been at the forefront of delivering impactful projects across Somalia, addressing critical needs in sectors such as food security, health, education, and governance. Our recent projects showcase our commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable communities and fostering sustainable development. Below are some of our key recent initiatives:

Cash Plus Agriculture Inputs Distribution – Deyr 2023 (Luuq)

In partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), JUSALPA implemented a Cash Plus Agriculture Inputs Distribution project in Luuq, reaching 1,350 households from August 2023 to January 2024. This initiative combined direct cash assistance with the provision of essential agricultural inputs, enabling farmers to improve their crop yields and secure their livelihoods. The project significantly enhanced food security in the region, empowering communities to better withstand environmental and economic challenges.

Livestock Support: Rangeland Cubes Distribution and Training of Pastoralists (Luuq)

From October 2022 to September 2023, JUSALPA, with the support of FAO, carried out a Livestock Support project in Luuq, benefiting 1,000 households. This project focused on distributing rangeland cubes to provide essential nutrition for livestock during drought periods. Additionally, pastoralists received training on best practices for livestock management, which helped them maintain healthy herds under challenging conditions. The project played a crucial role in preserving the economic stability of pastoral communities in Luuq.

Endline Project Impact Assessment (Waajid)

JUSALPA conducted an Endline Project Impact Assessment in Waajid, in partnership with SAO, from August to September 2021. This assessment involved 1,150 households and aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of previous interventions. The insights gained from this assessment have informed the design and implementation of future projects, ensuring that our initiatives are more targeted and responsive to community needs. The successful completion of this assessment underscores JUSALPA’s commitment to accountability and continuous improvement.
