JUSALPA’s organizational structure is designed to ensure effective governance, strategic leadership, and operational efficiency across all levels of the organization. Our structure enables us to deliver impactful programs, maintain accountability, and respond swiftly to the needs of the communities we serve. Below is an overview of our key organizational components:

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall governance of JUSALPA, providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure that the organization fulfills its mission and objectives. The Board comprises experienced professionals from various sectors who bring diverse perspectives and expertise to guide our work. They are responsible for approving major policies, ensuring financial integrity, and evaluating the performance of the organization.

Executive Management Team

The Executive Management Team, led by the Executive Director, is tasked with the day-to-day management of JUSALPA’s operations. This team is responsible for implementing the strategic plans set by the Board of Directors, managing resources efficiently, and ensuring that all programs are aligned with our mission. The Executive Management Team includes heads of key departments such as Programs, Finance, Human Resources, and Communications.

Program Departments

JUSALPA’s work is organized into several program departments, each focused on a specific sector of our mission. These departments include Food Security and Livelihoods, Health, Education, Protection, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Governance, and Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM). Each department is led by a Program Manager who oversees the design, implementation, and evaluation of projects within their sector. The departments work collaboratively to ensure a holistic approach to community development.

Field Offices

To effectively reach and serve communities across Somalia, JUSALPA operates several field offices located in key regions. These offices are staffed by regional coordinators and field teams who are responsible for implementing programs on the ground, conducting needs assessments, and liaising with local stakeholders. The field offices ensure that JUSALPA’s interventions are responsive to the unique needs and challenges of each region.

Support Services

JUSALPA’s Support Services departments provide essential operational support to all programmatic activities. These include Finance and Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Communications. These departments ensure that the organization runs smoothly, maintains financial accountability, and effectively communicates our work and impact to stakeholders.

Community Advisory Committees

JUSALPA believes in the importance of community participation in all aspects of our work. To this end, we have established Community Advisory Committees in the regions where we operate. These committees consist of local leaders, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders who provide input on program design, implementation, and evaluation. Their insights help ensure that our programs are culturally appropriate, locally relevant, and community-driven.

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team plays a critical role in ensuring that JUSALPA’s programs achieve their intended outcomes. The M&E team is responsible for designing evaluation frameworks, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting on program impact. Their work helps us to continuously improve our programs and demonstrate accountability to our donors, partners, and the communities we serve.
